Baseball Recap: Somonauk Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Somonauk finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seneca Fighting Irish. The defeat continues a trend for the Bobcats in their meetings with the Fighting Irish: they've now lost three in a row.

Somonauk now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Seneca, they moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Coming up, Somonauk will be playing at home against Earlville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Seneca, they will venture away from home to square off against Woodland at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
