Basketball Recap: The Habersham School Falls Short of Oakwood Christian in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact The Habersham School can now relate to. They fell just short of the Oakwood Christian Eagles by a score of 45-43 on Friday.

Despite the loss, The Habersham School still got an impressive performance from Maddie Viles, who went 8-for-15 to rack up 18 points in addition to six boards and three steals. What's more, Viles also posted a 53% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in January of 2024. Eliza Reeves was another key player, putting up seven points along with five assists and three steals.

The Habersham School's defeat dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Oakwood Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.
