Volleyball Recap: Karly Berrier's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Forbush over North Surry

Forbush was the 3-2 winner over North Surry when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Falcons fell 3-1 to the Greyhounds on Tuesday. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Greyhounds 25-21 in the first set.

Forbush started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-16, 27-25, 25-22.

Forbush lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Karly Berrier, who had 19 digs and three assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Tatum Cranford, who had 11 digs and one assist.

KK Adame had a dynamite game For North Surry., getting 21 digs. That's the most digs Adame has posted over her last six matchups.

Forbush's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9. As for North Surry, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.

Forbush has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Wilkes Central on the 18th. As for North Surry, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Surry Central on the 15th.
