Basketball Recap: Sebastian River Skates Past Synergy Magnet K12 with Ease

There's no place like home for Sebastian River, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Synergy Magnet K12 Saints 75-46. Given the Sharks' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Saints are ranked 734th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sebastian River's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Synergy Magnet K12, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Sebastian River will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lake Mary Prep at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025. Synergy Magnet K12 will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Riviera Beach Preparatory and Achievement Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Riviera Beach Preparatory and Achievement Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
