Basketball Recap: South Lamar Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Anna Kate Mcadams and Meagan Brock

South Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Fayette County Tigers, falling 55-32. The Stallions were down 50-23 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the defeat, South Lamar had strong showings from Meagan Brock, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 boards, and Anna Kate McAdams, who posted 12 points.

South Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Fayette County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-4.

South Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-37 victory against Gordo on the 9th. As for Fayette County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-54 win against Phillips on the 6th.
