Wakefield's rock-solid defense showed up for the team's 14th consecutive shutout on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Leesville Road Pride 27-0. Considering the Wolverines have won 14 games by more than 19 points this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Wakefield's victory came down to the chemistry between Quinn Pope and her top target Lyla Bagwell. Pope threw for 80 yards and two touchdowns on perfect 6-for-6 passing while Bagwell picked up 62 receiving yards and a pair of scores. The dominant performance also gave Pope a new career-high in passer rating (177.1).

Wakefield's win bumped their record up to 17-0. As for Leesville Road, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 9-3 record.

Coming up, Wakefield will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolesville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Leesville Road, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 13-6 victory against Corinth Holders on the 21st.
