Adam Dunphy leads a balanced attack to beat Hopedale

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but the Douglas Tigers ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 win over Hopedale. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Douglas' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adam Dunphy, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Colton Howard, who scored 13 points.

Hopedale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Patrick Madden, who scored 21 points. That was a full 37.5% of Hopedale's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Manning, who scored 14 points.

Douglas is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Hopedale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-7.
