Baseball Recap: Arp Comes Up Short

Arp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the White Oak Roughnecks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 12-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Caden Cliborn spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Arp's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11-1. As for White Oak, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-2-1 record this season.

While Arp had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
