Hanford and Walla Walla are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. Hanford will take on Walla Walla at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Hanford came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Kennewick, falling 3-0. The loss put an end to Hanford's undefeated start to the season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walla Walla). They came out on top against Southridge by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. The win was a breath of fresh air for Walla Walla as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Walla Walla's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Hanford, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Hanford beat Walla Walla by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hanford since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
