Softball Recap: Northwestern Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Northwestern's offense. They came up short against the Clover Blue Eagles on Wednesday, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-3 back in March.

Northwestern dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Clover, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Northwestern is set to take on their familiar foe Rock Hill at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Clover will square off against rival Indian Land at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
