Basketball Recap: Thornwell Comes Up Short

Thornwell lost against McCormick back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Thornwell Saints fell 76-68 to the McCormick Chiefs. The Saints just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Thornwell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for McCormick, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornwell will venture away from home to square off against Whitmire at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Thornwell is facing Whitmire at the right time seeing as Whitmire is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for McCormick, they will head out to take on Fox Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
