Baseball Recap: Stewarts Creek Has No Trouble Against Smyrna

Stewarts Creek won the last time they faced Smyrna and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Hawks blew past the Bulldogs 14-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Red Hawks.

The team relied heavily on Ben Bryant, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Shawn Rhodes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Stewarts Creek hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in three consecutive contests.

Stewarts Creek's win bumped their record up to 20-15. As for Smyrna, they dropped their record down to 5-23 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Stewarts Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-2 victory against Cookeville on the 1st. Smyrna does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
