Baseball Recap: Chino Hills Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Chino Hills put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Kennedy Fighting Irish.

Brody Buoncristiani made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February of 2024.

In other pitching news, Max Zaldivar looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Frankie Brazil was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three stolen bases. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Mendez, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Chino Hills pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Kennedy, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-1.

Chino Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-1 loss against Santiago on the 4th. As for Kennedy, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-0 defeat against Century on the 3rd.
