Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Tri-Unity Christian's Fifth in Last Six Outings

After only 27 points in their last contest, Tri-Unity Christian made sure to put some points up on the board against Lenawee Christian on Saturday. The Tri-Unity Christian Defenders enjoyed a cozy 58-44 victory over the Lenawee Christian Cougars. That's more bragging rights for the Defenders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lenawee Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaxon Salenbien, who posted 15 points and five steals. The matchup was Salenbien's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Seth Davis was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Tri-Unity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Lenawee Christian, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Tri-Unity Christian will head out to face off against Lee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lenawee Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-46 win against Blissfield on the 7th.
