Soccer Game Preview: Pinecrest Academy vs. Buford

The Pinecrest Academy Paladins will face off against the Buford Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pinecrest Academy has struggled recently with three losses in a row, while Buford will arrive with three straight victories.

Pinecrest Academy lost 5-1 to Brookwood two weeks ago. While losing is never fun, Pinecrest Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Brookwood are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, Buford kept a clean sheet against River Ridge on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Knights, sneaking past 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Buford were the better team in the second half.

Buford's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Pinecrest Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
