Baseball Recap: Carmel Christian Triumphs

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Carmel Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Legion Collegiate Academy Lancers 11-10. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Caden Tarr was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Carmel Christian is undefeated when Tarr posts two or more runs, but 1-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Leyton Guhl, who went 1-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.

Tarr wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Carmel Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. Carmel Christian is a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more home runs.

Carmel Christian's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carmel Christian will welcome Combine Academy National at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Legion Collegiate Academy, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wesleyan Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m.
