Basketball Recap: Monticello Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Monticello waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 65-59 W against the Zimmerman Thunder. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 77-61 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monticello to victory, but perhaps none more so than Rhys Nebben, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Carson Deibele, who posted 20 points and five boards.

Monticello smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in five consecutive contests.

Monticello's win was their 12th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 22-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 83.6 points over those games. As for Zimmerman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 18-10.

As of now, neither Monticello nor Zimmerman have any future games scheduled.
