Baseball Game Preview: Out-of-Door Academy Thunder vs. Braden River Pirates

The Out-of-Door Academy Thunder will head out to face off against the Braden River Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Out-of-Door Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Braden River will be coming in after a loss.

Out-of-Door Academy proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past Southwest Florida Christian 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the King's: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Braden River was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They fell just short of Neumann by a score of 3-2.

Sam Heintz was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Jackson Williams also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Out-of-Door Academy's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Braden River, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Out-of-Door Academy might still be hurting after the 10-1 loss they got from Braden River in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Thunder avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
