Basketball Game Preview: Taft Senators vs. Stivers School for the Arts Tigers

The Taft Senators will square off against the Stivers School for the Arts Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Taft's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.

On Monday, everything came up roses for Taft against Woodward as the team secured a 75-47 victory. Given the Senators' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 526th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Stivers School for the Arts lost 66-44 to Columbus Academy on Saturday. The Tigers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Stivers School for the Arts' defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Taft, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Everything went Taft's way against Stivers School for the Arts in their previous meeting back in January, as Taft made off with an 83-60 win. Will Taft repeat their success, or does Stivers School for the Arts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
