Baseball Recap: Clovis Comes Up Short

Clovis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Central East Bengals, falling 14-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since April 8th.

Clovis saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenden Kuraspediani, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Clovis' defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Central East, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season.

While Clovis had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
