Baseball Game Preview: Olmsted Falls Bulldogs vs. Benedictine Bengals

The Olmsted Falls Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Benedictine Bengals at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Olmsted Falls has given up an average of 9.5 runs per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Olmsted Falls is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell just short of Avon Lake by a score of 12-11 on Tuesday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Tyler Hartig made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Nate Hrabnicky also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Benedictine got themselves on the board against Strongsville on Friday, but Strongsville never followed suit. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 4-0.

The win got Benedictine back to even at 6-6. As for Olmsted Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Olmsted Falls skirted past Benedictine 4-2 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
