Softball Recap: Waltrip Makes It Seven in a Row at Home

On Friday Waltrip's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Galena Park Yellowjackets. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in February.

Waltrip's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Galena Park, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Waltrip is set to face off against their familiar foe Westbury at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Galena Park will challenge rival Sharpstown at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
