Basketball Recap: Orion's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wethersfield, Orion was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mercer County Golden Eagles, sneaking past 41-39. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Orion's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 10-18. As for Mercer County, their loss dropped their record down to 13-15.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orion has already played their next matchup (against Kewanee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Mercer County will face off against Riverdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
