Cardinal Newman extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 7 this week by beating Wellington, 27-19. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.

Pahokee made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,915 from 5,516. The advance stemmed from a 37-18 victory over the Blue Devils last week.

George Mastics threw for 145 and one touchdown and Matt Burke had 74 yards receiving. On the ground Erick Hardnett chipped in 64 yards. Travis Rudolph helped Cardinal Newman's passing attack out by catching four balls for 65 yards.

Calvary Christian Academy's Isaac Hoza and Alex Fifelski have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards.
