After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Crittenden County, Webster County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They never let the Community Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. Considering the Trojans have won 12 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Layla Scott was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Webster County let Alyssa Cartwright and Olivia Chandler run wild. Cartwright went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles, while Chandler got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two doubles gave Cartwright a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avery Nall, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Webster County's victory bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Community Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Webster County will challenge Caldwell County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Community Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Murray at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
