Basketball Recap: Saginaw United Piles Up the Points Against Bay City Western

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saginaw United). They breezed by the Bay City Western Warriors to the tune of 81-41 on Tuesday. Given Saginaw United's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Bay City Western is ranked 433rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win was the third in a row for Saginaw United, bringing their record for this year to 6-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Bay City Western, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saginaw United will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th. As for Bay City Western, they will square off against Carman-Ainsworth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
