Baseball Recap: Scranton Prep Triumphs

Scranton Prep lost to Wallenpaupack Area back in April, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cavaliers came out on top against the Buckhorns by a score of 5-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cavaliers.

Johnny Petrosky made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off nine hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Chase Liska, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Raphael Thomas was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Scranton Prep's record now sits at 11-8. As for Wallenpaupack Area, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.
