Baseball Recap: Nine Straight Road Wins for American Fork

American Fork won against Lone Peak last Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Cavemen came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-3. The Cavemen haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

American Fork got a great performance from Max Miller as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over five innings pitched. Miller has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, CJ Mascaro and Cache Poulson did most of the damage at the plate: Mascaro scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3, while Poulson went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was River Litke, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

American Fork's victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.6 runs over those games. As for Lone Peak, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

American Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-7 defeat against Lehi on the 15th. As for Lone Peak, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-7 victory against Skyridge on the 15th.
