Basketball Recap: Keenan Piles Up the Points Against Newberry

A well-balanced attack led Keenan over Newberry in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Keenan Raiders blew the Newberry Bulldogs out of the water with a 63-9 final score. The game marked the Raiders' most dominant win of the season.

Keenan found their leader in freshman Taelor Lee-Sutton, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 11 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lee-Sutton has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Samiyah Hicks, who posted five points in addition to 15 rebounds and six steals.

Keenan smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Keenan's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-6. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.0 points per game. As for Newberry, their loss dropped their record down to 6-13.

Keenan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 63-12 win against Fox Creek on the 25th. Newberry has also already played their next contest (against Swansea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
