Baseball Recap: Hermiston Comes Up Short

Hermiston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 10-9 heartbreaker at the hands of the Southridge Suns. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Suns this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Friday.

Hermiston's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Southridge, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hermiston will venture away from home to square off against Pasco at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pasco has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.24 runs per game on average), something Hermiston will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Southridge, they are taking a road trip to challenge Kamiakin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
