Salem entered their tilt with First Colonial on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They took their match with ease, bagging a 77-16 victory over the First Colonial Patriots. Given the Sundevils' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Patriots are ranked 296th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Salem's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.8 points per game.
