Recap: Dutch Fork Silver Foxes vs. Boiling Springs Bulldogs
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes walked away with it. They blew past Boiling Springs 56-7 at home. Considering Dutch Fork has won six contests by more than 23 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Leading Dutch Fork to victory were Maurice Anderson and Jonathan Hunt. Anderson rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while Hunt threw for 201 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Trenton Lodge was another key contributor, picking up 90 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory was the fourth in a row for Dutch Fork, bringing their record for this year to 6-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.8 points per game. As for Boiling Springs, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road , which bumped their record down to 4-7.
Dutch Fork will face off against T.L. Hanna at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in T.L. Hanna's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last eight games. Boiling Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
