Football Recap: Luke Farrell's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Corona Del Sol over Casteel + How To Watch

If Corona del Sol was riding high fresh off their 44-0 takedown of Desert Ridge last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aztecs lost 35-14 to the Casteel Colts on Friday. The Aztecs were not able to make up for their loss to the Colts from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Several Aztecs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Farrell, who threw for 222 yards and one TD.

Tee Smith had an outrageously good game for Casteel as he threw for 255 yards and four touchdowns on only 18 passes, and also rushed for 88 yards and one score. Smith is crushing it when it comes to passing touchdowns: he's passed for at least three every time he's taken the field this season. Brody Smith was another key player, picking up 97 receiving yards and one TD.

Corona del Sol has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. As for Casteel, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.
