Football Recap: McMichael Takes a Loss + How To Watch

McMichael had lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 2-6 to make it eight. They were dealt a 60-0 loss at the hands of the Walkertown Wolfpack. The game marked the first time this season in which the Phoenix were not able to get on the board.

As for Walkertown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walkertown to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jerrell Crawford, who threw for 220 yards and three TDs on only 18 passes. Another rusher making a difference was Nasir Conrad, who rushed for 59 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries.

Looking ahead, McMichael will square off against Bartlett Yancey at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix will be up against the Buccaneers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Walkertown, they will take on Carver at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Yellowjackets' defense has only allowed 13.9 points per game this season, so the Wolfpack's offense will have their work cut out for them.
