Basketball Recap: Oshkosh North Comes Up Short

Oshkosh North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-42 loss at the hands of the Hortonville Polar Bears. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Polar Bears are ranked 52nd).

Oshkosh North's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Hortonville, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oshkosh North will venture away from home to challenge Fond du Lac at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hortonville, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Kimberly at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
