Basketball Game Preview: Friendship Christian Commanders vs. Davidson Academy Bears

Friendship Christian hasn't had much luck against Davidson Academy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Friendship Christian Commanders will face off against the Davidson Academy Bears at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Friendship Christian is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Tuesday. They lost 50-29 to Donelson Christian Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Commanders have lost by exactly 21 points.

Meanwhile, Davidson Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-49 heartbreaker at the hands of Ezell-Harding Christian. While losing is never fun, the Bears can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Eagles are ranked 40th).

Friendship Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Davidson Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Things could have been worse for Friendship Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 51-37 loss to Davidson Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Can Friendship Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
