Baseball Recap: East Central Comes Up Short

East Central lost against Batesville on Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Trojans fell 8-4 to the Bulldogs. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

East Central saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Vinny Keck, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Matthew Roy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

East Central now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Batesville, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. East Central will take on rival Connersville at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Batesville is set to face off against their familiar foe Franklin County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
