Soccer Recap: Freeport Comes Up Short

There was early excitement for Freeport after they claimed the first goal on Thursday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Crestview Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. Freeport has struggled against Crestview recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Freeport now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Crestview, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-11.

Freeport wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, an 8-0 loss against Pensacola Catholic on the 17th. Crestview has also already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Fort Walton Beach on the 14th.
