Soccer Recap: Middlesex Comes Up Short

If Middlesex was riding high fresh off their 4-1 takedown of Thayer Academy on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Middlesex fell 2-0 to the Noble & Greenough Bulldogs on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Middlesex can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 27th, while Noble & Greenough is ranked third).

Middlesex's defeat dropped their record down to 10-4-2. As for Noble & Greenough, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Middlesex is set to take on their familiar foe Roxbury Latin at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Noble & Greenough will square off against rival Brooks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
