Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery Central Indians vs. Portland Panthers

The Montgomery Central Indians will challenge the Portland Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four losses in a row dating back to last season, Montgomery Central turned things around against West Creek on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over the Coyote.

Dylan Fulton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Matthew Heimpel was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Portland faced off against Overton on Thursday. Portland had just enough and edged out Overton 4-3.

The victory got Montgomery Central back to even at 1-1. As for Portland, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
