There's no place like home for South East, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Thursday. They never let the Roosevelt Rough Riders get on the board and left with  a   3-0  victory  on Monday. This was payback for the Jaguars, who suffered  a  9-3  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Jayden Cortez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only two  hits over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  earning one  run and two  stolen bases.
 Cortez wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Anthony Santos, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run. That's the most  hits  Santos has posted since back in March. Another  was  Nathan Munoz, who  went 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI.
South East is  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-15 record  this season. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Roosevelt,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 8-15.
 Coming up, Roosevelt will face off against Woodrow Wilson at 3:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. South East will be paying especially close attention to the Rough Riders'  matchup: after the Rough Riders face off against the Bruins, they'll take on South East again  at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
