Basketball Game Preview: Dan River Wildcats vs. Tunstall Trojans

The Dan River Wildcats will venture away from home to challenge the Tunstall Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Dan River and eight for Tunstall.

Dan River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came up short against Gretna on Friday, falling 69-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since December 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, Tunstall was beaten by Magna Vista 61-23 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 302nd, while the Warriors are ranked 93rd).

Tunstall's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dan River, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Dan River took a serious blow against Tunstall when the teams last played back in December of 2024, falling 58-28. Can Dan River avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
