Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Summit). Their defense stepped up to hand the Grand Valley Cardinals a 5-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Summit considering their one-goal performance the match before.

Summit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Grand Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Summit will face off against Loveland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Grand Valley, they will challenge Moffat County at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
