Softball Recap: Griffith Takes a Loss

Griffith fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Hobart on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Brickies by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their meetings with the Brickies: they've now lost seven in a row.

Griffith saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Vianello, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Griffith's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Hobart, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Coming up, Griffith will challenge South Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Satellites' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hobart, they will face off against Valparaiso at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
