Baseball Recap: Owen Takes a Loss

Owen's last matchup with Draughn could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Friday. The Warhorses lost 11-3 to the Wildcats. The Warhorses have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Hayden Burpeau was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Owen's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Draughn, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Owen has already played their next contest, a 12-6 defeat against Mitchell on the 8th. As for Draughn, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Madison on the 8th.
