Basketball Game Preview: Dalton Catamounts vs. Northwest Whitfield Bruins

Dalton has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Northwest Whitfield has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Dalton Catamounts will welcome the Northwest Whitfield Bruins at 8:30 p.m.

Dalton saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 54-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Campbell. While losing is never fun, the Catamounts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Spartans are ranked 48th).

Meanwhile, Northwest Whitfield was able to grind out a solid victory over Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts two weeks ago, taking the game 49-39.

Northwest Whitfield's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Dalton, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Dalton took their victory against Northwest Whitfield in their previous meeting on December 14th by a conclusive 65-43. Will Dalton repeat their success, or does Northwest Whitfield have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
