Volleyball Game Preview: Douglas Patriots vs. Sturgis Brown Scoopers

The Douglas Patriots are taking a road trip to square off against the Sturgis Brown Scoopers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Douglas and eight for Sturgis Brown.

Last Saturday, Douglas came up short against Yankton and fell 2-0.

Meanwhile, Sturgis Brown didn't have quite enough to beat Rapid City Central on Monday and fell 3-2.

Sturgis Brown took Rapid City Central into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking eight-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-10, 22-25, 13-25, 15-7.

Sturgis Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-21. As for Douglas, their loss dropped their record down to 7-26.

Douglas couldn't quite get it done against Sturgis Brown in their previous meeting back in October as they fell 3-1. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
