Riverside is 0-3 against Timberlake since March of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Rams will host the Tigers at 4:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Riverside is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Priest River last Saturday, sneaking past 7-5. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bryce Lee and Austin Jenkinson made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Lee struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Meanwhile, Jenkinson tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Lee is becoming a predictor of Riverside's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). At the plate, Lee scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Jenkinson went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That RBI was Jenkinson's first of the season.
In other batting news, Colton Meyer was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Gus Stehlar, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Timberlake came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Wildcats a 28-0 shutout. Considering the Tigers have won six matchups by more than eight runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Riverside, Timberlake also got a great game from a pair of two-way players: Ryker Brennan. On the mound, Brennan struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Ethan Pecor pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. At bat, Brennan went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI, while Pecor scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances. Those four RBI gave Brennan a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on James Moore, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run, five runs, and six RBI. Dane Perkl was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 4-for-6.
Timberlake was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .528. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .391 or higher in five consecutive games.
Timberlake pushed their record up to 8-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.3 runs over those games. As for Riverside, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4.
