Pine Creek got themselves on the board against Fountain-Fort Carson on Tuesday, but Fountain-Fort Carson never followed suit. They blew past the Trojans 16-0. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Aiden Wilson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one triple.

In other batting news, Pine Creek let Tristan Mullis and Gavin Ust run wild. Mullis went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one double, while Ust went 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Mullis a new career-high. Aidyn Williams was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Pine Creek was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher in seven consecutive games.

Pine Creek has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.1 runs over those games. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pine Creek beat the Trojans by a score of 11-1 on Thursday.
