Basketball Recap: St. Martin de Porres Comes Up Short

St. Martin de Porres lost against Chardon back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. Martin de Porres Lions were dealt a 55-8 loss at the hands of the Chardon Hilltoppers. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dessiona Jackson was St. Martin de Porres' leading scorer, having posted four points.

Lilli Dillworth was the offensive standout of the game as she went 5 of 6 on her way to 10 points. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Zeiger, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

St. Martin de Porres' defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Chardon, their record is now 3-4.

St. Martin de Porres will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Medina Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Chardon and Harvey will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
